When I first developed this this recipe, I wanted an easy way to make breaded, baked tenders without having to make an egg wash, dredging station, etc. Not that it doesn't make things taste delicious, it just always makes kind of mess and lots of dishes.
Plus, I was tired of going through all of that and getting dry chicken.
So I tried it with a few different dips and sauces, but ultimately...you can never go wrong with buffalo!
(See: Buffalo Cauliflower Dip for a vegetarian goody!)
In the past, I've always struggled with getting all my bread crumbs to come out evenly golden brown and crispy but I've discovered the simple solution!
The trick to getting a crispy, golden baked finish is toasting the bread crumbs before you dip the chicken in them.
You get that gorgeous color and the flavorful bite without all that frying.
Let's get cooking!
Oh em gee.
Serve it with your favorite dip or an added drizzle of hot sauce if you like it extra spicy! Remember to be mindful when adding salt to season as the hot sauce has plenty of sodium in it. You can serve it along side carrots, or celery!
However you do it, make it how you love it and I hope you enjoy!
As always, lots of LOVE,
